Hi, I'm Alex Jackson, and I am a young journalist, currently teaching English as a foreign language in France.
Throughout this blog, I will be publishing articles about my teaching experience, French culture, and my travels during the 2014-2015 academic year.
As a journalist, my portfolio comprises articles from local, regional and national newspapers around the UK, and work published by international organisations across Europe. Career highlights include The Guardian, The Independent and Salzburg Global Seminar.
I was previously the deputy editor for student newspaper, The Yorker, and was named Student Journalist of the Year 2012 by York Press.
I have worked in media and communications, tourism and hospitality and the education sectors in various European countries, and hope to study a Masters in journalism from September 2015.
